We are seeking an Application Support Agent to join our team in Brussels.

Description of the project:
In SPSS (which stands for Sedia Procurement Systems Support project), we provide applicative support first line and second line to Internal users of the Commission and External users involved in the following business process:
  • Grants: projects funded by the European Commission through calls for proposals
  • eProcurement: services, goods and works purchase by the EU institutions, agencies, and bodies through calls for tenders.
In the context of eGrants and eProcurement, SPSS provides support for the applications ‘EU Login’ (managing access right), ‘F&T Portal’ (main entry point for external users who want to apply to a call for proposal or a tender, work as an expert, register organization...) and ‘Participants Register’ (used to register organization when applying for a grant or a tender) which are common applications used in both domains. Those applications are grouped under the program called SEDIA.
For eProcurement, there is a dedicated suite of applications used from the preparation of the tender (budget and tender document) through the submission to the submission of the tenders until the management of the contracts for which we provide support.

Description of tasks:
•    Receive and log requests/ incidents & questions from users (by e-mail, phone, or face to face); provide technical support, investigate problems, and determine appropriate actions.
•    Keep end-user informed on request status and progress.
•    Participate to meetings with the development team.
•    Improve documentation/ manual for training/shared knowledge.
•    Deliver training to Commission Staff.

Knowledge and skills:
•    Higher education or equivalent overall experience.
•    A first successful experience in user support (minimum 1 year).
•    European level C1 in French and English is mandatory.
•    Have a good analytical skill and quickly understand process.
•    Be solution oriented as well proactive and reactive to any problem.
•    High communication skills and ensure customer satisfaction.
•    Ability to work in an international/multicultural environment. 
•    Strong team player with excellent relationship skills.
•    You are stress resistant and can impart knowledge at various levels.
•    Any other language is an asset.
•    ITIL Foundation Certified is an asset.
•    Experience in European Institution is an asset.
